This position supports K-5 students in both private schools and an elementary school located in Fairhope, AL. The role is designed to provide on-site facilitation and speech-aide assistance under the supervision of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). This contract position offers a flexible schedule ranging from 20 to 35 hours per week, aligned with the SLPs hours, making it ideal for candidates seeking part-time work within the academic calendar. Key Responsibilities: Assist SLPs by facilitating speech and language activities for students in grades K through 5. Provide direct support to students in multiple campuses as an itinerant paraprofessional or speech aide. Work closely with classroom teachers to support individualized educational plans. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with the educational team. Adapt approaches to meet the diverse needs of students across various school environments. Qualifications and Experience: Experience as a paraprofessional, speech aide, or certified school teacher preferred. Must be a local U.S. citizen, over 18 years of age. Two professional references required. Ability to commit to a contract starting March 2026 through May 29, 2026. Flexibility to work on multiple campuses and adjust work hours to accommodate SLP schedules. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-screening interview and district eligibility assessment prior to placement.
