Job Description:

Fleet Mechanic A Utility company located in Pensacola needs a Fleet Mechanic I to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for steady, full-time maintenance and repair skills within a supportive work environment. What you'll be doing:

  • Lubricate vehicles in accordance with written and oral instructions.
  • Check various fluid levels and adds fluid as required.
  • Perform general repairs such as removing and replacing radiators, water pumps, brakes, belts, wipers, etc.
  • Perform tire repair and replacement.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to fleet assets on location
  • Maintains and repairs tools and equipment as required.
  • Assist with and clean garage area.
  • Pick up and deliver parts to the fleet vehicles in the field. What you'll bring to the job:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance of light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks. Additional vocational/technical training or ASE certification is desirable.
    • Experience working with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles is a plus.
    • Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and is occasionally required to climb or balance and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
    • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
    • The incumbent's working conditions are typically moderately quiet but may be loud for limited durations while working with power tools, equipment, or machinery following all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
    • As a disaster team member, the employee is required to be available to work before, during, and after any disaster as directed.
    • Possession of or ability to obtain a Class "A or B" Commercial Driver's license within 6 months of offer of employment. What's in it for you:

      • Schedule is 40 hours/week (Possibly 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, or 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
