Engineer to support the manufacture and delivery of some of the
most advanced and highly utilized aircraft technology in aviation.
This role will be located onsite in Foley, AL. Relocation
assistance available. What You Will Do Manage external and internal
quality issues in a timely professional manner Responsible for
resolving critical issues/situations ensuring they are handled
correctly and within current policy/procedure guidelines Lead or
participate in 8D, DIVE, preventative and corrective actions for
quality issues related to internal non-conformances, product
returns, supplier issues, customer complaints and corrective action
requests with clear and concise reports to customers. Provide
expertise and lead in process improvement tools and continuous
improvement methods Provide support relative to the collection and
analysis of Program quality data on top issues including scrap,
rework, and repair (SSR) Support/Participate in Program Reviews of
key metrics and strategic quality initiatives. Develop/implement
and auditing of inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance
criteria, and procedures / work instructions Identifies and manages
risk in product development, engineering changes and work transfers
primarily utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA,
MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.). Support the completion
of First Article Reviews Participation and preparation for
customer, third party regulatory and internal audits Coordinate,
preparation and management of Notification of Escapes with
suppliers, internal manufacturing and the customer Facilitate the
investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and
follow-up on corrective actions Provide support in the way of
development and evaluation of process capability, process control
plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions, and process audits
with the objective of improving the process performance and
capability Participate in and lead Manufacturing Process Reviews
Execute the initiatives of the organization such as Zero Defect
Plan (ZDP) Position may be required to travel up to but not limited
to 25% Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University
Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced
Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience using AS9145 APQP / PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA,
Process Flow Diagrams and Control Plans, etc.). Experience
supporting Quality Management System requirements (e.g.
Non-Conformity Metrics Management, Risk Analysis, Audit support,
etc.). Qualifications We Prefer Experience in one or all of the
following is highly desired: Six Sigma, Process Certification,
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Product Part Approval
Process (PPAP). Experienced in 8D, quality tools, 5 Whys of Root
Cause Analysis, and SPC analysis. Ability to lead a
cross-functional team and provide forecasting to reach established
goals. Ability to assimilate, analyze, and present data to leaders,
customers, and peers. Experiencing interfacing with internal and
external customers as well as all levels of personnel. AS9100

hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD -
165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several

experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired
