HCA Florida West Hospital is the area's first Accredited Chest Pain Center and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The facility is also the first hospital in the state of Florida to have earned Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation. In addition, the facility is an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and offers specialized Emergency Department services tailored specifically to the needs of seniors as well as a Kids' ER dedicated to serving the emergency medical needs of children. HCA Florida West Hospital campus includes the acute care hospital, the area's only comprehensive, CARF-accredited physical rehabilitation hospital, and a behavioral health facility.     • Helps create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. - Ensures adherence to standards of care.
    • Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. - Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
    • Supports the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
    • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
    • Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
    • Manages admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
    • Facilitates effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments. Ensures staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs.
    • Manages nursing practice and unit operations. - - Monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met.Qualifications
      • Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation. - State of Florida license or appropriate compact licensure. - If Florida is not the primary State on the multi-state license must establish Florida as primary on license within 90 days of hire or within 90 days of establishing residency in Florida (whichever is sooner).
      • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
      • 1+ year of experience in acute care nursing experience required
      • Previous leadership experience preferred
      • BLS required
      • ACLS required
