We are looking for a Kitchen manager with at least 5+ years of
experience and proven leadership skills necessary to maintain the
highest degree of guest and staff satisfaction. Our goal is to
expand our service and product offerings to include event space,
banquet and party service and expanded entertainment. The candidate
must have the knowledge and experience to maintain a safe, clean,
and orderly kitchen; communicate and interact professionally with
owners and all levels of management and staff; supervise, motivate,
train and manage an efficient kitchen team and be passionate about
our brand. Duties include but are not limited to: Supervise the
flow of activity in the kitchen to and from the dining area. Ensure
the highest quality product reaches our guest and meets
specifications. Conduct daily shift meetings. Oversee the
onboarding process and training of new staff members within their
department. Responsible for motivating, developing, coaching, and
counseling culinary staff to maintain food quality standards.
Continually evaluate and maintain par levels and order product
accordingly. Responsible for ensuring expo position is managed
efficiently. Oversee labor controls and assign duties to staff
members. Continually monitor food and labor costs in relation to
sales and adjust staff levels as needed. Continually monitor menu
pricing in relation to today's inflationary pressures and supply
chain disruptions. Responsible for reporting any staff member
issues to management. Ensure a high standard of service efficiency,
sanitation, and safety. Assist management with opening and closing
responsibilities and delegation of duties to staff members. Assist
with coordination of catering/banquet functions. Ensure proper
plate presentation and adherence to product specifications and
recipe guidelines. Ensure quality of products and waste prevention.
Ensure that all productivity and quality standards are maintained.
Maintain high-level of knowledge regarding the company's products
and happenings and communicate properly to staff. Perform other
duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management and move
with a sense of urgency. Understand and utilize all safety and
sanitation practices as defined in the safety program and report
any accidents to management. Adhere to all company policies and
procedures as established in the Staff Member Handbook.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE : Five+ years kitchen management experience in a
high-volume Food and Beverage environment including catering and
special events. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively and professionally interact with other
departments and outside contacts. Ability to complete a heavy
workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with
minimal supervision. Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
