Overview
The quality assurance engineer performs integration, regression, and functional testing on systems to ensure compliance with system requirements and Navy Federal business practices and policies. Assists in the analysis of functional and technical requirements and the creation and editing of test cases for new or modified systems. Interested candidates should possess a knowledge of Content Management Systems and related best practices to support development and technical design of Navy Federal's Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) based websites.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or later.
Responsibilities
Assist Quality Assurance Analyst to certify system testing complete & ready for production
Develop and maintain functional testing scripts and feature files.
Create and edit test cases in accordance with acceptance criteria, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0 AA), and system requirements
Create, modify and/or locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases
Identify areas for improved testing processes
Modify, coordinate and schedule input to maintain the test environments
Report testing activity including time spent, testing time lost and discrepancies found
Ensure clear, concise and effective communication of material
May assist with addressing employee inquiries or problem resolution
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in testing complex systems including various platforms
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Selenium Grid, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Gherkin, and XPath
Familiarity with testing automation, CI/CD framework, Java concepts and, Selenium Test Automation Framework
Experience with accessibility testing, manual and automated, and familiarity with assistive technologies.
Experience with keyword, data driven and behavior-driven test automation development and cross browser-based testing tools like Perfecto, Saucelab to provide cross browser testing.
Design and implementation of robust and scalable test automation solutions within an Azure DevOps and CICD environment to improve the quality of functional, regression, and system tests
Experience in streamlining continuous test processes that improve product delivery
Experience developing scripts to perform comprehensive automated testing on multiple platforms including web based and Adobe Experience Manager CMS Experience with Azure Repos, GitHub.
Understanding of dependency management and build tools such as Maven Experience and test management tools such as Azure Test Plans, Jira, Micro Focus ALM/Octane Develop
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
