Job Description:
OverviewPlatform Analytics and Reporting (PAR) is a team within
the Application Hosting Services branch of Navy Federal's
Information Services Department (ISD). This team provides three
services to the platform infrastructure teams within the SRE &
Infrastructure Engineering organization. Those services are as
follows:Capacity ManagementR&R (Resiliency and
Reliability)Vulnerability SupportThis role will be a member of the
Capacity Management sub-team. Their primary responsibility is to
ensure that IT infrastructure capacity is sufficient to meet the
evolving requirements of the business in a timely and
cost-effective manner. The team utilizes recurring reports for
various IT infrastructure metrics and dashboards to accomplish
this. Team members are involved in forecasting trends by comparing
business data to future use of IT resources. Team members also
monitor for anomalies so our business partners and leadership are
informed and can proactively take action. In addition, team members
are responsible for creating new reports or dashboards, optimizing
existing reports or dashboards, and identifying new opportunities
for reports or dashboards.The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week
internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024.
Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during
their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be
currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or
university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024
or later.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze information, requirements, data,
work quality, work methods, processes, service specific practices,
standards and metrics/statisticsInterpret results of analysis;
present recommendations, including alternatives and
implicationsCollaborate with other business units to analyze and
improve processing procedures and resolve problemsAnalyze changes
in policies, procedures, and products; determine the impact on the
group functionsIdentify and analyze opportunities for new and/or
improved processes, data, or technology; provide clear picture of
possible outcomesWork with peers, business units and/or project
teams, and vendors to ensure business needs are fully communicated,
documented and satisfiedMonitor and analyze key performance
indicators and establish processes and methodologies for
preventative actionsCompile, review and prepare data to be used by
analysts and management in the analysis of operations, services and
productsConduct benchmarking, trend analysis and other input to
drive continuous improvement and elevate service performanceAnalyze
information to produce analytically driven inferences and
hypotheses to generate actionable recommendationsSolve business
problems by defining the problem, interviewing stakeholders,
identifying and evaluating alternatives, and presenting
findingsEnsure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union ISD
standards and best practicesQualificationsCurrently pursuing a
bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration,
Information Systems, Computer Science or other related
fieldExperience using data and analytic tools such as PowerBI and
SSRSEffective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail
and meeting deadlinesExperience in IT solution creation and
delivery with increased business intelligenceEffective research,
