We are constantly growing- our brand new Studer Family Children's Hospital is slated to open in by early May, which will have Siemens scanners which are the only ones in Northwest FL.Rated among the top 10% of stroke programs in the USARated among the top 50 hospitals in the USA for vascular surgeryRanked among the top 5% of E.R.s in the USAOne of 11 centers in FL to provide specialized care to women with high risk pregnanciesThe region's largest network of primary care physiciansNW Florida's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care UnitNW Florida's only facility to offer the most advanced non-invasive brain surgery – Leksell Gamma Knife® Perfexio What You Will Do:Evaluate resident applicants for baseline knowledge, skills, attitudes, and abilities to achieve goals of the program while observing Equal Employment Opportunity principles as well as Graduate Medical Education and Human Resource requirementsProvide an exemplary environment conducive to resident learningProvide accepted residents with a letter outlining their acceptance to the program with information on the terms and conditions of the appointmentIdentify or provide a sufficient complement of professional and technical pharmacy staff to ensure appropriate supervision and preceptor guidance to all residentsAward to those who complete the program a certificate of residency in accordance with the provisions of the ASHP Regulations on Accreditation of Pharmacy Residencies, signed by the RPD and the chief executive officer ofthe organizationEnsure the program's compliance with the provisions of the current version of the ASHP Regulations on Accreditation of Pharmacy Residencies and coordinate residency accreditation visits for the designated residency programEnsure compliance with applicable requirements of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)Assess the resident's commitment to attaining the program's educational goals and objectives and support of the organization's mission and valuesCreate a structure, in collaboration with other program preceptors if applicable, that facilitates achievement of the program's educational goals and objectives, allowing experience in the specified practice area(s), applicablepatient populations, disease states, and complexity of patient problems.Customization of the training program for the resident based upon initial assessment of resident's entering knowledge, skills, attitudes, abilities, and interestsCoordinate summative assessment of each resident's performance of the respective program-selected educational goals and objectives assigned to the learning experience with the resident and preceptor at the conclusion of the learning experience and document their review of the summative evaluationsCoordinate advisor/preceptor system for residentsCoordinate utilization of evaluations by preceptors to monitor resident progressEvaluation, approval and progress assessment of resident research projects and other scholarly activities including serving on research committees as warrantedEvaluation and approval of resident teaching requirements associated with the various schools of pharmacy and the Resident Teaching and Learning Certificate ProgramProvide quarterly resident evaluations for presentation at residency preceptor meetingsCoordinate the overall activities of the Pharmacy Residents to maximize productivity:Coordinate/approve pharmacy practice experience schedules (i.e. weekends, order entry, operational support, other issues)Coordinate/approve pharmacy service coverage schedulesCoordinate/approve professional leave requestsCoordinate emergency coverage upon request (emergency teams, down time, sick calls, disasters, etc…)Meet accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, other nationally applicable standards and have sufficient resources to achieve objectives of residency programEvaluate the need for additional infrastructure and resources necessary to meet the clinical service goals for Pharmacy Services as appropriateActively participate in residency/GME policy development, residency retreats, committees, functions and other residency activities. What You Will Need:Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
