Unlock your potentialhere!Job Summary The Oncology Nurse provides directnursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocolsof the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:* Carries out physician orders andassesses plans to administer patient care* Utilizing computerized documentationsystems and monitors vital signs* Monitors, records and communicatespatient condition as appropriate* Administers medications, changesdressings, and cleans wounds* Serves as the primary coordinator ofall disciplines for patient care* Follows Standard Precautions usingpersonal protective equipment* Coordinates discharge planning needswith members as needed* Instructs and educates patients andfamilies* Provides age and culturallyappropriate care* Orients and mentors new staffmembersQualificationsCurrent license as a RNCurrent certification as a BLS Healthcare ProviderGraduate of an accredited school of professional nursing1+ Years of experience as a RN in an Acute Care settingrequiredCustomer service abilities includingeffective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision in a fast pacedenvironment.--Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing,bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipmentup to 50 pounds.West Florida Hospital--is a 515 bed facility and the only Atrial Fibrillation Certified hospital.--WFH hasalso been honored as a Truven Top 100 Hospital and just recently received theirJoint Commission Sepsis accreditation. Additionally, WFH was the area's firstAccredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.We are also an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.Be a part of an organization that invests in you!
