We Are Hiring
Sign on bonuses ranging from $5,000- $12,000
Ascension is looking for our next generation of outstanding nurses
to join our residency program.
This paid Nurse Residency integrates newly licensed registered
nurses into the acute care environment by providing in-depth
education on physiology, pathophysiology, the nursing process, and
addresses challenges faced by new nurses.
Requirements
+ Less than 1 year of full-time RN experience (less than 2080
hours) by start date.
+ Graduate from Accredited Nursing School with ADN or higher degree
within the last 3 years
+ Florida/Alabama RN license (License must be compact or issued in
the state you intend to work)
Program Details
+ 12-month program
+ First three months is comprised of intensive didactic learning
and skill development combined with precepted shifts on a
medical-surgical or telemetry unit
+ Experience in procedural areas associated with assigned units
+ Nine additional months of didactic courses(four hours per
month)
Teaching strategies include lecture, case studies, demonstration,
simulation, role-playing, and journaling.
Informational sessions and preliminary interviews will begin in
March with final interviews and offers taking place in April and
May. Our next cohort is scheduled to start June 2022 .

+ Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach FL
+ Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola FL
+ Ascension Sacred Heart Studer Family Children's hospital
Department: Med/Surg/Tele, ED, Critical Care, Labor and Delivery,
Pediatrics, Mother/Baby, High Risk OB, Women's Med/surg
Schedule: Full-Time - Day and Night Shifts available
What You Will Do
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established
policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare
organization.
+ Implement and monitor patient care plans.
+ Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as
appropriate.
+ Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for
well-coordinated patient care.
+ Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
+ Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with
members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
(AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
required.
+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required or
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
required.
