We would love to talk to you about this fantastic opportunity.Job SummaryThe Float Pool Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:Carries out physician orders and assesses plans to administer patient careUtilizing computerized documentation systems and monitors vital signsMonitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriateAdministers medications, changes dressings, and cleans woundsServes as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for patient careFollows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipmentCoordinates discharge planning needs with members as neededInstructs and educates patients and familiesProvides age and culturally appropriate careOrients and mentors new staff membersQualificationsCurrent license as a RNCurrent certification as a BLS and ACLS Healthcare ProviderGraduate of an accredited school of professional nursing2+ Years of experience as a RN in a Critical Care setting requiredCustomer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.-- -Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.HCA Florida West Hospital is a 515 bed facility and proud to be the area's leading health care facility in quality outcomes performance.
