Registered Nurse-CVORThe Registered Nurse in the Main OR manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality care in the OR and other areas of Surgical Services while meeting standards as set forth by the State, regulatory agencies, and facility policies and procedures. This position maintains knowledge and skills required to perform as a professional Registered Nurse as well as those specific to Surgical Services and the OR. Promotes teamwork with all surgical team members and other departments. The registered nurse manages supplies and equipment effectively. The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
