Job Description:
LDRP Registered NurseThe Clinical Nurse provides care and
education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and
courses of treatment. A successful mother/baby nurse enjoys working
with people and performs well in high-pressure or emergent
situations. Mother/baby nurses are generally available to a woman
and her infant at the beginning of the postpartum period and it is
the nurse's job to facilitate that both mother and infant receive
the support and medical care needed for a successful recovery.
Additionally, the mother/baby nurse provides care and support to
the antepartum and gynecological patient. The person in this
position works under general supervision, is responsible for
various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or
callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus
immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or
disasters.
