Currently a 566-bed, Level II Trauma facility, Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola offers 21 OR suites in the main hospital. As a Circulating Registered Nurse, you will participate in a wide range of surgical operations; ortho, neuro, bariatrics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, CV and organ transplants to name a few. DaVinci and Mako Ortho Robots are used throughout the Surgical Suites. We are a Top 50 Hospital for Cardiovascular, the only National Stroke Certified Hospital in the area, and recognized as a Center of Excellence in Bone & Joints and Bariatrics. Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
