Your primary function is to assist credentialed physicians in the performance of endoscopic procedures to diagnose, care, and treat patients. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner. In this role you will: -- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process in the peri-operative setting. -- Prepare and equip endoscopy suites for indicated procedure. -- Follow established protocol for scheduling patients in the OR module for each procedure. -- Educate patients regarding procedure, provides comfort and support for patient, and prepares patient for indicated procedure. -- Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to follow moderate sedation policy and procedure. -- Knowledge of medications used during procedures and ability to monitor patient status. -- Identify potential and actual complications related to endoscopic procedures. -- Evaluate and document patient response: monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychological status. -- Support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel. Job Requirements: -- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred -- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required -- BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required -- ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required -- Acute care experience required. -- Previous endoscopy experience preferred. -- CGRN preferred
