HS Outpatient Senior Medical Records Coding Specialist

Job Description:

A company is looking for a Sr. Medical Rec Coding Spclst (HS) - Outpatient for a remote location.
Key Responsibilities:

Review medical records and assign diagnosis and procedural codes
Ensure accurate coding and abstracting of information
Address coding queries and maintain productivity and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a coding certificate program or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience
Familiarity with computer assisted coding and/or automated encoder
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management
Credentialing as a RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or COC
