Details - Department: Adult ECMO - Schedule: Full Time Night
Shift, 3,12-hour shifts 7p.m. to 7a.m. - Hospital: Ascension Sacred
Heart Hospital Pensacola - Location: Pensacola, FL This position
can be either an Florida licensed RN, Registered Nurse or a Florida
licensed RRT, Registered Respiratory Therapist. Benefits Paid time

Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to,
experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the
time of the offer. Responsibilities Operate extra-corporeal
membrane oxygenation (ECMO) equipment and performs ECMO therapy
according to physician orders. - Monitor pump functioning
throughout patient therapy and maintains pump integrity. - Monitor
circuit volume and administers products, medications and/or volumes
as ordered. - Monitor anticoagulation, electrolyte, acid-base
balance and blood-gas composition values and adjusts ECMO circuit
to maintain physician's orders. - Generate and compile appropriate
documentation and charges related to ECMO. - Precept new ECMO team
members. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: -
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job
transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red
Cross accepted. - One or more of the following required: -
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Respiratory
Care Practitioner credentialed from the Florida Board of
Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of
Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education: - High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of
cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4
years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences Due to the current needs of the department
