Hospital Phlebotomist Mobile Infirmary- 2nd Shift at Labcorp summary: This role involves performing blood specimen collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques at Mobile Infirmary Hospital while providing excellent patient service. The phlebotomist will handle specimen preparation, data entry, billing, and may travel to additional sites as needed. Certification or training in phlebotomy is required along with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in teams on a rotating second shift schedule. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 2pm-10:30pm and rotating weekends Work Location: Infirmary Hospital - 5 Mobile Infirmary Cir - Mobile, AL Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Job Responsibilities: Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Job Requirements: In order to ensure the safety of our patients, this position requires as part of the post-offer onboarding process, successful completion of medical surveillance testing which includes: TB testing; proof of immunity or vaccination for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR; and color blind deficiency testing (if required by position).
