Pensacola, Florida CRNA Locum Tenens Level I Trauma Center • Cerner EMR • Care Team Model • High-Volume Surgical Program Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a major Level I trauma center in Pensacola, Florida. This assignment places CRNAs within a large anesthesia department supporting a high-volume surgical program across multiple procedural environments including OR, trauma, pediatrics, obstetrics, cath lab, interventional radiology, and ambulatory surgery. Assignment Overview Location: Pensacola, Florida Setting: Large Regional Hospital & Trauma Center Contract Type: CRNA Locum Tenens EMR: Cerner Coverage Need: Ongoing Practice Model: Anesthesia Care Team – 100 percent medically directed Anesthesiologists provide supervision while CRNAs manage operative cases within the care team structure. Facility Snapshot Total Hospital Beds: 582 ICU Beds: 40 Trauma Designation: Level I Adult Trauma Center & Level I Pediatric Trauma Center Anesthetizing Locations: 39 Case Volume Includes: Inpatient Surgery: 10,700 cases annually Outpatient Surgery: 13,500 cases annually Ambulatory Surgery Center Cases: 4,100 annually Non-OR Procedures: 1,700 annually This is one of the largest surgical programs in the Florida Panhandle. Case Mix CRNAs support a broad range of surgical specialties including: General Surgery Orthopedics & Total Joints Bariatric Surgery ENT Urology GYN Spine Interventional Radiology Endoscopy Dental / OMFS Plastics Major Vascular Thoracic Additional exposure includes: Trauma Surgery Pediatric Surgical Cases Obstetrics (high-risk OB experience preferred) Dedicated cardiac anesthesia teams handle most cardiac cases. Shift Structure Multiple shift options across the anesthesia department including: Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Evening Coverage: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Night Coverage: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Weekend shifts available. Some OB positions may include 24-hour coverage blocks. Call coverage may be available with 12-hour call shifts throughout the week. Candidate Requirements NBCRNA Certified Active Florida License Experience in: General anesthesia cases Pediatric patients (strongly preferred) OB anesthesia experience (preferred) Comfort working in a large trauma center environment Additional Requirements Providers must live outside a 45-mile / one-hour radius from the facility to qualify for this assignment.
