Ascend is currently searching for a Planning and Scheduling
leader for our Pensacola, Florida area location. The Planning and
Scheduling leader provides Planning and Scheduling leadership and
expertise while leading the planning and scheduling team on
improvements to Maintenance Work Process and will ensure that
appropriate planning has gone into each job assigned to the
maintenance organization. In addition, the Planning and Scheduling
leader will capture feedback from maintenance frontline leaders and
mechanics/technicians after work is complete to ensure we are
continuously improving our planning and scheduling process and will
be responsible for measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) to
ensure that all aspects of the planning, scheduling, work
execution, backlog, inventory management and parts procurement are
Lead, coach, train the maintenance planners to ensure
appropriate details are entered into the job plans for
Ensure that reliability and precision maintenance best practices
are introduced into job plans.
Review the job plan feedback from technicians and ensure that we
are correcting gaps in our detailed job plans.
Identify gaps in work productivity introduced by planning and
Fully utilize Ascend maintenance mechanics/technicians as shared
resources across the site.
Develop and maintain planner/scheduler technical competency.
Measure planner effectiveness and coach and mentor planners.
Oversee the planning and scheduling of routine overhauls using
prescribed tools and incorporating critical path methodology.
Oversee the review of preventative maintenance plans.
Ensure that Management of Change policy is utilized within our
Drive proactive work and stretch productivity goals with
100-110% schedule factor.
Provide formal and informal training to the organization on
planning and scheduling concepts and skills.
Serve as a mentor for the MRE organization.
Capture operations feedback on the effectiveness of our planning
and scheduling processes.
- Seize opportunity to build environmental, health and safety
improvements into our job planning and overhaul scheduling. Be a
role model to others in exceeding expectations of ESSH policies and
Bachelor's Degree with major in Engineering or Engineering
Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in Industrial Maintenance
Planning/Scheduling with SAP expertise (Prometheus/SAP interactive
experience a strong plus)
Strong knowledge of reliability and maintenance processes
Experience leading teams and facilitating group discussions
CMRP (SMRP certified maintenance reliability professional)
Lean manufacturing experience preferred (Six Sigma BB a
- Facilitation experience with RCM, FMEA and RCA preferred
Strong computer skills required to create, edit and manage
data/information using Microsoft Office products, CMMS and other
specialized software required
SAP/Prometheus, Data Historian experience preferred
Primavera(P6) / MS Projects experience preferred
- Development experience with PM procedures required
