Responsible for providing personal patient care and related
services for terminally ill patients or home health patients in
home or home-like settings.
A high school graduate or equivalency is required.
The Hospice Aide/Home Health Aide must have a sympathetic
attitude toward the care of the sick, the ability to read, write,
and carry out directions, and the maturity and ability to deal
effectively with the demands of the job.
Preference is given to candidates with a CNA or HHA certificate
from an approved program by the State of Florida or Alabama, as
applicable, depending on assignment, with a curriculum that
requires a minimum of 75 hours of training and a competency
evaluation as described in the attached Federal Regulation 42 CFR
484.36, Condition of Participation: Home Health Aide services (a)
Standard: Home Health Aide training.
Completion of six (6) months experience as a Nurse's Aide in a
hospital or medical surgical unit or six (6) months experience with
a Home Health Agency or Hospice is preferred.
A valid Florida or Alabama driver's license, as applicable,
depending on assignment, current automobile liability insurance and
insurability under the company liability insurance are
