Pall Corporation of Pensacola, Florida has an outstanding career opportunity available for an R&D Scientist I to support polymeric membrane research and development efforts for existing legacy media and develop new membranes for Life Science applications, (Biotech, Medical and Lab).

Your role:

Hands-on member of a project team as assigned:

* Executes technical tasks and designs and develops variations on existing products, materials, and/or processes with minimal supervision. * Analyzes and interprets data using standard statistical and data analysis software with minimal supervision. * Ability to provide observations and conclusions based on completed experimentation and data analysis. * Supports Operations personnel and other members of the team during experimental runs and membrane testing. * Regularly generates clear engineering reports as needed that relay results to management and other team members. * Demonstrates a willingness to support membrane development test runs and other tasks as the need arises - Off-shift support and/or longer hours may be required. * Organizes daily tasks and manage personal work time to achieve project goals/objectives. * Maintains good laboratory records and documentation per cGDP standards for experimental work and results. * Learns to recognize anomalies in data to determine relevance. * Works effectively with cross-functional teams including technicians, engineers and manufacturing in a positive, professional manner. * Clearly and effectively communicates progress and results in oral and written form both internal and external to the project team.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or similar is required * Minimum one year of experience working in an R&D capacity or a laboratory environment

Functional Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

* Demonstrate the application of basic scientific skills in chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science, membrane science, or other related subject area. * Experience managing small to medium-sized sub-projects is desirable * Excellent verbal and written communication to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds * Experience with statistical data analysis is preferred, fluent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications
