Description:To close first mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws as well as Navy Federal policies andprocedures. Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for purposes of closing on conventional,Veteran's Administration (VA) and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage products. To coordinate the closingand funding of assigned loan packages.JobExperience in work which displays increasing levels of responsibility and/or authority*Experience in working in a high volume, fast paced environment*Familiarity with Real Estate Lending systems, policies, procedures, practices and/or actions*Working knowledge of mortgage/equity loan processing, closing and documentation requirements and regulations*Effective skill analyzing and organizing problems or work processes for technical solutions*Effective skill applying innovative approaches to solve technical design issues*Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills*Desired - Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and proceduresSkills:mortgage lending, accounting, legal document, personal banker, financial rep, member service rep, Administration, Mortgage, Mortgage loan, Mortgage loan processing, Loan origination, Loan processors, Financial, Brokerage, Brokerage banking, Real estate, Banking, Title companies, Executive administrative, Loan documentation, Paralegal skills, Escrow, Hud, Banking loan, Mortgage services, Loan origination system, Appraisal, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Real estate closing, Real estate transactionsTop Skills Details:mortgage lending,accounting,legal documentAdditional Skills & Qualifications:min of 2 years of financial and/or banking experience preferredadministrative experience working with contractors or legal documents requiredAuthorize release of closing packages to closing agent - Under supervision* Determine amount to be withheld from loan proceeds, request and process internal payoffs and prepare request for loandisbursement* Determine status of title and review mortgagees, mortgagors, manner of title and existing/proposed liens for accuracy* Ensure credit, underwriting and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing* Evaluate title exceptions and determine if applicable; clear any mortgage related deficiencies within specified timeperiod - Basic research/review* Examine property status reports and property insurance policies for accuracy in documents and proper coverage* Maintain contact with lawyers, settlement agents and real estate brokers regarding the status of closing package* Monitor mortgage loan process and ensure compliance with Federal laws, as well as, Navy Federal, NCUA andsecondary market practices, guidelines and regulations* Prepare fully executed mortgage file for post-closing* Provide closing agent with information for title binder and specifics about documents and conditions required for closing* Review preliminary and final closing package including HUD-1 for RESPA compliance - Moderately Complex/Varied* Review property surveys for unacceptable or uninsurable encroachments or violations* Schedule settlement with closing agent, member, seller and realtor* Verify completeness and accuracy of approved credit packages* Perform other duties as assigned*Experience Level:Entry LevelAbout Aston Carter: At Aston Carter, were dedicated to expanding career opportunities for the skilled professionals who power our business.
