Job Description:
Overview
This position will support the first line of defense Operational
Risk Management (ORM) role focused on the strategy, planning,
maintenance, and enhancements for the Issue and Event Management
program as part of the overall security risk management and
governance organization. This role will collaborate with business
unit risk management delegates across the enterprise to drive the
identification, assessment, and mitigation of Security risks.
The Summer Associate will provide professional execution of
day-to-day tasks and special projects while working within
established SG&R standards, policies, and procedures. The
Summer Associate will help drive the continued maturation of the
Issue and Event Management program.
Potential projects include:
Build out of Azure DevOps Site for program to capture ongoing
projects
Support Issue Management team with Azure DevOps Tool
administration
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program
beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work
on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship.
To qualify, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an
accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation
date of December 2024 or after.
Responsibilities
Assist analysts with issue intake and remediation efforts
Identify process improvement opportunities and work to
implement
Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit
and/or across the organization
Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish
tasks/assignments
Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experienced in Microsoft Azure
Intermediate knowledge of information technology systems, project
processes, and application development
Intermediate research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Intermediate skill in building effective relationships with all
levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors, through
rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact
Intermediate verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation
skills to communicate clearly and concisely technical and
non-technical information to leadership and a strong EQ
Intermediate presentation writing and creation skills (advanced
Microsoft PowerPoint)
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Location: 5550 Heritage Oaks Dr Pensacola, FL 32526
Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for
a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The
number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by
the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn
more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
