OverviewTeam Overview: The Lending Risk Office is responsible for managing operational risks, compliance reviews, audits, exams, and vendor management. There are three divisions that handle various aspects of the work and partner horizontally to ensure robust risk awareness. A summer associate will work to provide data that synthesizes the various aspects of our lending risk environment to provide valuable insights to our business partners.Potential Projects:Create a reporting structure that measures various aspects of our risk environment and generates useful dashboards for executive leaders.Create scorecards for measuring and managing work progress.Create reporting for key risk indicators that would proactively signal possible gaps in risk management.ResponsibilitiesProvide support to Lending Risk through leading and supporting key projects and initiativesSupport business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organizationAssist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignmentsCollaborate with management and personnel to optimize risk assessment scope developmentGather and synthesize data; present conclusions and offer risk mitigation, remediation, and process improvement solutions to managementMaintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as a priorityProcess and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reportsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMust be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/universityEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsEffective research and analytical skillsEffective skill using innovative thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision-making processEffective skill in maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlinesAbility to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisionsAbility to adapt to new technologiesAbility to provide exceptional customer serviceEffective word processing and spreadsheet software skillsEffective organizational, planning, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentHours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PMLocation: Remote - 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 - 5550 Heritage Oaks Dr Pensacola, FL 32526 - 141 Security Dr. Winchester, VA 22602About UsYou have goals, dreams, hobbies, and things you're passionate about-what's important to you is important to us.
