WHAT IS THE LARGE BUSINESS AND INTERNATIONAL (LB&I)

9 vacancies for LB&I Deputy Commissioner. Vacancies may be
filled in the following specialty areas or other areas within
LB&I as vacancies become available: ADCCI-Compliance Planning &
Analytics (CP&A) or ADCCI-CP&A-Data Systems Management.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working
level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are
selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to
learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow
in this position.
- Plans, organizes, and carries through to completion broad,
long-term analytical studies and projects requiring analysis of
effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of substantive,
- Analyzes program functions and/or areas to discern trends in
program delivery. Analyzes overview report data to measure
effectiveness in meeting baseline or the degree to which program
plans and achievements support strategic initiatives. Serves as the
process analysis expert for a program or function.
- Develops various techniques and methods to assess costs and
benefits of alternative programs and to evaluate the effectiveness
of current programs.
- Develops program plans, designs and issues directives and
instructions, and develops recommendations to improve the
effectiveness of the program segment.
- Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of operating
procedures, work flow, inter-functional coordination, and
organization operation through personal observation, conferences,
and of status reports and data. Prepares resulting documents from
these reviews, reporting on progress towards achievement of program
initiatives. Evaluates the implementation of new procedures
affecting the program operations and maintains adequate controls to
ensure compliance with procedures and deadlines.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of
specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility
equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal Service. Examples of
specialized experience includes: Experience with leading major
project assignments that required a wide range of analytical and
evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and
quantitative, sufficient to accomplish complex projects or studies
broad in scope and magnitude. Experience and application, of a
range of laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to
the segment(s) of the Service's program affected by the assigned
project or study; Experience with management principles and
processes to perform project management duties to effectively
coordinate and integrate project objectives and recommendations
with key line and/or staff functions of the Service; and the
ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
