Job Description:

OverviewSupport the growth and administration of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) program at the enterprise level (second line of defense), including implementing and improving the corporate framework used to identify, analyze, measure and monitor business operational risks (role also may expand to incorporate enhancing the framework to address financial risks). Drive consistent use of the ORM framework by leading risk assessors through process mapping, risk and control identification, risk rating, control assessment and testing and risk reporting, and monitoring progress of risk mitigation plans. Lead or participate in ad hoc projects as neededResponsibilitiesAssist with the development of an enterprise framework for management of operational risk including identification, analysis, measurement, control, monitoring, and reporting of riskExecute ORM framework through full cycle development, implementation, and use Lead risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) processes to support consistency of risk owners' approach throughout the enterpriseAnalyze results of operational risk assessments, engage in effective challenges, and recommend/pursue follow-up as warrantedMonitor mitigation and remediation efforts on control deficiencies to ensure appropriate and/or agreed upon correctionsAct as ORM liaison to multiple business units; provide advice and guidance to risk owners and subject matter experts through the lifecycle of operational risk assessmentsProvide thought leadership and contribute to the development of dashboards, scorecards, and reports to support management and the executive team in its evaluation of enterprise riskSupport the Senior Vice President and Vice Presidents of Enterprise Risk by providing information for internal working groups, committees and other forums as neededAssist with the development of policies, procedures, documentation, and training materials related to operational risk managementContribute to the development of the enterprise's GRC system and assist with the buildout of the system's capabilitiesDevelop strong collaborative relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)Stay abreast of applicable federal, state and industry laws, regulations, and guidelines.Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsStrong knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices.Ability to understand, analyze and interpret government and financial industry regulations, related principles and practices, and company procedures and policies.Advanced hands-on experience with operational risk assessments at a large financial institution.Experience with developing business scenarios and providing effective challenges to underlying assumptions.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.Proven ability to influence, instruct and build consensus with internal and external business partners and stakeholders.Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey findings, conclusions, and recommendations clearly and concisely.Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.Intermediate-level word processing and spreadsheet software skillsBachelor's Degree in business administration, economics, statistics or mathematics, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.Desired QualificationsExperience with consumer lending or deposit-taking businesses, information technology/security, payment processing or digital banking activities at a financial institutionExperience using a well-known GRC systemWorking knowledge of SAS, SQL, SPSS, Tableau or other data analysis or visualization toolsMaster's degree in business administration, economics, statistics, mathematics or equivalent combination of training, education, and experienceHours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PMLocations: 820 Follin Ln, Vienna, VA 22180 - 5550 Heritage Oaks Dr, Pensacola, FL 32526About UsYou have goals, dreams, hobbies, and things you're passionate about-what's important to you is important to us.
