That means working closely with educators, sharing experience, and traveling into unchartered territories together. - Are you ready to join us on the journey? We are looking for an experienced Curriculum Sales Representative in the Pensacola FL area to service Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida panhandle area. Job Summary Generate sales of selected products in an assigned geographic area. Present programs and products to current and potential clients through face-to-face meetings at the clients place of business or at special exhibits and conferences. Provide service through problem resolution and support in the form of information regarding product updates and coordination of training for customer's staff. Represent the company at local, state, regional and national conferences and exhibits. Manage and maintain business expenses within the assigned budget. Interact with education policymakers at the local and state level. Essential Functions - Sell and market products in assigned territory - Travel to schools, administrative offices, service centers, conferences & exhibits throughout assigned territory - Make sales presentations to curriculum coordinators, consultants, administrators, teachers, review committees, school board members or any other individuals as requested by the customer. - Transport all sales & marketing materials needed including kit samples, support material, catalogs, etc. - Respond in a timely fashion to all inquiries - Follow up promptly on sales leads from all sources - Process all catalog and/or sample requests - Generate price quotes - Compose and produce appropriate correspondence. - Maintain correspondence and other appropriate documentation files. - Make all necessary travel arrangements, (i.e. airline, hotel reservations, auto rental, etc.). - Manage expenses effectively, staying within the specified budgets - Provide timely reports regarding prior months sales presentations and activities as well as upcoming months schedule - Provide 1, 3, 6 and 12 months forecast of sales by customer, based on adoption schedules, presentations and both new and re-order business. - Submit expense reports for legitimate business expenses on a weekly basis with all receipts and documentation Minimum Required Qualifications - 4-year college degree - 8+ years selling experience with 5 years in K12 curriculum - Superior analytical skills - Training/experience in consultative selling approach - Strong history (minimum five years) of meeting/exceeding sales expectations - Teaching/Education background or commensurate K12 sales experience - Acceptable driving record, valid driver's license and insurance in a program compliant automobile Preferred Knowledge and Skills - Be organized and able to prioritize their workload - Possess strong interpersonal skills - Ability to problem solve - An independent thinker while functioning as part of a team. - Must have the ability to speak and present effectively to large groups of people on a regular basis. - Strong writing skills are required. Physical and Mental Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone.
