Job Description:
Daily Responsibilities for a Pediatric Neonatologist The
Pediatric Neonatologist is responsible for: Evaluating and treating
patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
Adhering, contributing, and developing clinical patient pathways to
ensure a standardized approach to neonatal medicine. Rounding with
a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on NICU patients, as
well as supervising the APP s attending high-risk deliveries.
Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of
efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided
to patients. Act as attending consulting physician for patients who
require hospitalization, depending on the needs of patients,
medical staff, and hospital. Be the primary educator for the
pediatric residents. Providing appropriate documentation that meets
insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely
manner. Participating in inpatient rounds and providing appropriate
hand-off to the next team. Establishing an outpatient NICU graduate
clinic program. Hours For This Position Full-Time TBD Requirements
for the Neonatologist MD or DO Board-certified/eligible in
Pediatric Neonatology Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical
license and DEA Completed ACGME Training Are you interested in
