The Change Control/Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for coordinating all activities related to EMR and revenue cycle application change control process according to organizational priorities. This position will focus on quality control and effectively communicate changes to the organization; changes in processes, system functionality and overall understanding of the impact these changes make in an integrated healthcare delivery system. The position will implement change management strategies and plans that maximize team member adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The position will work to drive effective communication, faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact team members. This position maintains application change control procedures and makes recommendations to continuously improve processes and tools and is responsible to train Change Control process users. This position will assume charge of change control meetings to coordinate activities related to the review, approval and closure of changes and maintain the electronic database accordingly, working with the internal auditors to meet all internal and external auditing needs. The analyst will ensure optimal utilization of the health system's clinical applications.


  • Participate in current state needs assessment, implementation, testing, support, and reporting.
  • Suggest clinical and/or administrative application and workflow enhancements to IT Application Analysts, Clinical Informaticists, and Project Managers to facilitate designing improved efficiencies, solving complex workflow issues and improving quality initiatives.
  • Participate in unit, functional and integrated testing of the software during implementations, upgrades or software patch installations to ensure that the design objectives are met.
  • High degree of understanding of physician practices, hospitalists, as well as business processes and regulatory initiatives (Meaningful Use, PQRS, HEDIS, etc.).
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians, other system analysts, IT or Business leadership.
  • Create reports and support help desk ticket resolution with IT staff on behalf of end users.
  • Partners with physicians and end users to understand workflow, business processes, and troubleshooting any IT related issues related to applications and/or systems connectivity.
  • Manage time effectively attending meetings and completing tasks under general supervision.
  • Manage and report on statistical data as requested by IT leadership for change control to assure quality of procedure and process.


    • Bachelor's Degree Business, Nursing
    • 1-3 years Experience working with clinicians supporting the daily use of healthcare information systems within a hospital or large practice network including training experience Required
    • 1-3 years Leadership experience required, will consider charge nurse experience
    • Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida, if education is clinical within 90 Days Required
    • Strong understanding of healthcare and clinical processes.
    • Demonstrates leadership abilities along with effective interpersonal relationship skills.
    • Ability to present complex data effectively.
    • Strong analytical problem solving.
    • Detail oriented, good organizational traits.
    • Basic Computer skills - familiarity with Windows based software programs.
    • Strong leadership, change management, relationship management and large scale communication skills.
    • Strong knowledge of clinical and administrative workflows and systems utilized in physician practices and hospitals clinical applications.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, medical terminology, and the ability to handle themselves with extreme professionalism.
